Metrolinx continues construction to improve service along the 01 Lakeshore West line as part of the GO Expansion Program.

Friday, September 26, GO is operating two extra late-night westbound trains between Union and Exhibition GO Station.

This Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 26, GO Transit buses replace trains along the 01 Lakeshore West line to accommodate Metrolinx contractors who are maintaining the tracks for the GO Expansion Program. GO buses operate between Oakville and Clarkson GO stations and then express — without stopping — between Clarkson and Union Station.

Lakeshore West GO trains operate all day Saturday and Sunday:

  • between West Harbour and Oakville GO stations;
  • between Niagara Falls and Oakville GO stations; and
  • between Exhibition and Union (to serve passengers attending events at Exhibition Place and area).

If you’re travelling from Mississauga, GO is also operating four trains along the 21 Milton line this Saturday only:

  • eastbound trains start their trips in Milton GO Station at 2:27 and 4:27 p.m., dropping off or picking up passengers at all stations and ending their trips in Union at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
  • westbound trains start in Union at 7:04 and 7:34 p.m., serving passengers at all stations and ending in Milton at 8:04 and 8:34 p.m.

No GO service is available at Long Branch or Mimico GO stations this weekend. Port Credit GO Station receives no GO train service, but late night / early morning buses continue to serve passengers at the station..

Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Lakeshore West line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
