TTC buses replace streetcars along St. Clair, overnight, October 5 and 6

From 6 p.m. Sunday, October 5 until 4 a.m. Monday, October 6, the TTC is operating buses, instead of streetcars, along these routes:

  • 312 St Clair overnight; and
  • 512 St Clair.

The transit explains that it’s replacing the cars with buses “due to [City of] Toronto Water work.”

The buses likely drop off or pick up passengers at stops beside the curb, instead of the centre-lane “island” streetcar stops. Buses follow the same path as the streetcars, except in the extreme west end of the route, where buses loop along Weston and Gunns roads, instead of into Gunns Loop. Buses also operate through the terminals at St Clair and St Clair West stations.
