Brampton Transit revises services, October 27



Starting Monday, October 27, Brampton Transit is revising its service “to ensure its transit system continues to move people around the city safely and effectively.”


Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: 1 Queen; 17 Howden; 18 Dixie; 501 Züm Queen.

Specifically, it’s: increasing the frequency of service along routes; decreasing the frequency of service along routes; and adjusting the schedules for buses along routes.

Increasing the frequency of service along routes


18 Dixie

Brampton Transit is adjusting the schedules for buses along the route, it says, “to improve service reliability.” By adjusting the schedules, it also increases and decreases the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • every 10 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
  • every 20 minutes, instead of every 27 minutes, after about 10 p.m.

Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops between Chinguacousy and Airport roads:

  • every 11 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during rush hours; and
  • every 22 minutes, instead of every 25 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Buses serve passengers at stops west of Chinguacousy Road and east of Airport Road:

  • every 22 minutes, instead of every 24 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during rush hours; and
  • every 44 minutes, instead of every 50 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

18 Dixie

Brampton Transit is adjusting the schedules for buses along the route, it says, “to improve service reliability.” By adjusting the schedules, it also increases and decreases the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

  • every 8 minutes, instead of every 7 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours;
  • every 17 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and
  • every 10 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

Starting Saturday, November 1, buses drop off or pick up passengers at Züm stations:

  • every 16 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, Saturdays before about 7 p.m.

18 Dixie

Starting Monday, October 27, Brampton Transit is adjusting the schedules for buses along the route, it says, “to improve service reliability.” By adjusting the schedules, it also increases and decreases the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Tuesday, October 28, the last southbound bus starts its trip on Dixie Road south of Mayfield Road at 2:04 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays. It ends its trip on Dixie Road north of Meyerside Drive at 3:03 a.m. The last northbound bus starts at Dixie / Meyerside at 2:04 a.m. It ends at Dixie / Mayfield at 2:53 a.m.

Starting Tuesday, October 28, the last eastbound bus starts its trip in Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal at 1:03 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays. It ends its trip on Highway 50 south of Ebenezer Road at 2:19 a.m. The last westbound bus starts at Highway 50 / Ebenezer at 1:50 a.m. It ends at Mount Pleasant GO Station at 3:13 a.m.
