GO Transit is enhancing train service along several lines and opening a new GO Station, starting Monday, October 27.
Specifically, GO is:
- opening the new Confederation GO Station on the 01 Lakeshore West line. All trains travelling to and from Niagara Falls drop off or pick up passengers in the new station. And, GO is also extending the trips for certain trains that usually start and end in West Harbour GO Station so that they start and end in Confederation, instead.
- operating more Lakeshore West trains to and from Niagara Falls.
- increasing service along the Lakeshore West line between Oakville and Appleby GO stations.
- increasing service along the 09 Lakeshore East, 65 Barrie and 71 Stouffville lines.
GO is revising service along these lines and routes: 01 Lakeshore West trains; 09 Lakeshore East trains; 11 St. Catharines / Burlington; 12 Niagara Falls / Burlington; 61 Richmond Hill trains; 65 Barrie trains; 71 Stouffville trains.
Specifically, GO is: increasing service along train lines; adjusting the schedules for trains along lines; and making other changes to service along bus routes.
Increasing service along lines
65 Barrie trains
GO is adding two new Monday-to-Friday rush-hour trips to the schedule for trains along the line.
Starting Monday, October 27, a new southbound train starts its trip in Aurora GO Station at 7:20 a.m. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations. It ends its trip in Union Station at 8:14 a.m.
A new northbound train starts in Union at 4:53 p.m. It serves passengers in all stops and ends in Aurora at 5:46 p.m.

09 Lakeshore East trains
GO is adding six new Monday-to-Friday rush-hour trips to the schedule for trains along the line.
Starting Monday, October 27, a new westbound train starts its trip in Durham College Oshawa GO Station at 6:23 a.m. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations. It ends its trip in Union Station at 7:27 a.m.
Two more new westbound trains start in Whitby GO Station at 6:48 and 7:48 a.m. They serve passengers in all stations and end in Union at 7:47 and 8:47 a.m.
Three new eastbound trains start in Union at 4:13, 4:43 and 5:13 p.m. They serve passengers in all stations and end in Whitby at 5:10, 5:40 and 6:10 p.m.

01 Lakeshore West trains
Starting Monday, October 27, GO opens the new Confederation GO Station. All trains operating to and from Niagara Falls drop off or pick up passengers in the new station. And, seven daily trains that formerly started and ended trips in West Harbour GO Station start and end in Confederation, instead.
Starting October 27, Toronto-bound trains start their trips in Confederation at 5:50, 6:51 and 11:08 a.m. and 7:08 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. The trains end their trips in Union Station at 7:17 and 8:32 a.m. and 12:45 and 8:45 p.m. The trains that start in Confederation at 5:40 and 6:51 a.m. operate express — without stopping — between Clarkson GO Station and Union.
More Toronto-bound trains leave Confederation at 7:38 a.m. and 2:04 and 9:02 p.m. These trains start in Niagara Falls GO Station at 6:37 a.m. and 1:07 and 8:04 p.m. They end in Union at 9:04 a.m. and 3:37 and 10:26 p.m. The train that starts in Niagara Falls at 6:37 a.m. serves passengers in all stations between West Harbour and Clarkson, then operates express to Union.
Hamilton-bound trains end their trips in Confederation at 1:24, 5:36 and 8:24 p.m. They start in Union at 12:17, 4 and 6:47 p.m. The train that starts in Union at 4 p.m. operates express to Clarkson.
Niagara-bound trains arrive in Confederation at 10:30 a.m. and 6:27 and 11:31 p.m. They start in Union at 9:10 a.m. and 5 and 10:07 p.m. They end in Niagara Falls at 11:30 a.m., 7:31 p.m. and 12:32 a.m.
Starting Saturday, November 1, Toronto-bound trains start their trips in Confederation at 7:07, 8:07, 9:07 and 11:07 a.m. and 7:07 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The trains end their trips in Union Station at 7:17 and 8:32 a.m. and 12:45 and 8:45 p.m.
More Toronto-bound trains leave Confederation at 12:58, 5, 8:58 and 10:04 p.m. These trains start in Niagara at 11:58 a.m. and 4, 7:58 and 10:04 p.m. They end in Union at 2:25, 6:24 and 11:23 p.m. and 12:29 a.m.
Hamilton-bound trains end their trips in Confederation at 4:23 and 10:24 p.m. They start in Union at 2:47 and 8:47 p.m.
Niagara-bound trains arrive in Confederation at 10:30 a.m. and 12:35, 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. They start in Union at 9:04 and 11:09 a.m. and 5:07 and 7:22 p.m. They end in Niagara Falls at 11:30 a.m., 1:35, 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
Starting Monday, October 27, GO is increasing the number of trains that it operates to and from Niagara Falls GO Station.
Starting October 27, Toronto-bound trains start in Niagara Falls at 6:37 a.m. and 1:07 and 8:04 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. They end in Union Station at 9:04 a.m. and 3:37 and 10:26 p.m.
Niagara-bound trains start in Union at 9:10 a.m. and 5 and 10:07 p.m. They end in Niagara Falls at 11:30 a.m., 7:31 p.m. and 12:32 a.m.
Starting Saturday, November 1, Toronto-bound trains start in Niagara at 11:58 a.m. and 4, 7:58 and 10:04 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They end in Union at 2:25, 6:24 and 11:23 p.m. and 12:29 a.m.
Niagara-bound trains start in Union at 9:04 and 11:09 a.m. and 5:07 and 7:22 p.m. They end in Niagara Falls at 11:30 a.m., 1:35, 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
With one exception, all trains operating to and from Niagara Falls stop only in these GO stations:
- Niagara Falls;
- St. Catharines;
- Confederation;
- West Harbour;
- Burlington;
- Oakville;
- Port Credit;
- Exhibition; and
- Union.
The exception is the Toronto-bound train that starts in Niagara at 6:37 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations between West Harbour and Clarkson, then operates express to Union.
GO is increasing Monday-to-Friday service to Bronte and Appleby GO stations. It’s extending six trains that usually start or end their trips in Oakville GO Station to start or end in Appleby.
Eastbound trains start in Appleby at 6:39, 7:09, 7:39, 8:09 and 8:25 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. They end in Union Station at 7:34, 8:04, 8:34, 9:04 and 9:20 a.m.
A westbound train starts in Union at 5:36 p.m. and ends in Appleby at 6:29 p.m.
GO is also adjusting the schedules for trains along the line.

71 Stouffville trains
GO is adding two new Monday-to-Friday rush-hour trips to the schedule for trains along the line.
Starting Monday, October 27, a new southbound train starts its trip in Unionville GO Station at 7:59 a.m. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations. It ends its trip in Union Station at 8:40 a.m.
A new northbound train starts in Union at 4:50 p.m. It serves passengers in all stops and ends in Aurora at 5:31 p.m.

Starting Monday, October 27, GO adjusts the schedules for trains along the line, it says, “to better improve service reliability and reduce congestion near Union Station.” All southbound trains leave stations seven minutes earlier than usually.

Buses continue to drop off or pick up passengers at their usual platforms in Confederation GO Station, but GO is changing the numbers of the platforms.
GO is also renaming the stops that it usually dubbed “Centennial Pkwy North & QEW P&R”. The new name reflects their location: “Confederation GO Station.”
