Starting Monday, October 27, MiWay is revising its routes and services by:
- introducing new express service to and from key stops along the Eglinton corridor;
- adding more service to the 107 Malton express route; and
- increasing the frequency of service along several other routes.
In a news release, the Mississauga transit agency explains that, “These new and expanded services aim to make it easier and quicker for passengers to get to work, study or to explore the city.”
MiWay is revising service along these MiLocal routes: 2 Hurontario; 6 Credit Woodlands; 17 Hurontario; 20 Rathburn; 23 Lakeshore; 35 Eglinton; 38 Creditview; 46 Tenth Line; 49 McDowell; 51 Tomken; 71 Sheridan.
It’s also revising service along these MiExpress routes: 107 Malton express; 135 Eglinton express.
Specifically, it’s: introducing a new route; increasing service along routes; increasing the frequency of service along routes; decreasing the frequency of service along a route; and adjusting the schedules for buses along routes.
Introducing a new route
135 Eglinton express
MiWay is introducing new express service along the Eglinton corridor between Winston Churchill and Renforth transitway stations.
Starting Monday, October 27, eastbound buses start their trips at platform 5 in Winston Churchill Transitway Station, then proceed:
eastward along the Mississauga Transitway;
north- and eastward along the transitway access road;
northward along Winston Churchill Boulevard;
eastward along Eglinton avenues west and east;
southward along Burgoyne Street;
eastward along Crestlawn Drive;
south- and westward along Fewster Drive;
southward along Encino Street and the transitway access road; and then
eastward along the Mississauga Transitway,
ending their trips in Renforth Transitway Station at platform 7.Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops
- in Winston Churchill Transitway Station,
- on Eglinton Avenue West at Glen Erin Drive, beyond Erin Mills Parkway, at Mississauga, Creditview and Mavis roads and Confederation Parkway,
- on Eglinton Avenue East beyond Hurontario Street and at Central Parkway East and Tomken Road and
- on the Mississauga Transitway at Dixie, Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek, Spectrum, Orbitor and Renforth transitway stations.
Westbound buses start their trips at platform 1 in Renforth Transitway Station, then proceed:
westward along the Mississauga Transitway;
northward along the transitway access road and Encino Street;
east- and northward along Fewster Street;
westward along Crestlawn Drive;
northward along Burgoyne Street;
westward along Eglinton avenues west and east;
southward along Winston Churchill Boulevard;
west- and southward along the transitway access road; and then
westward along the Mississauga Transitway to Winston Churchill Transitway Station,
ending their trips at platform 4.Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops
- in Renforth, Orbitor, Spectrum, Etobicoke Creek, Tahoe and Dixie transitway stations,
- on Eglinton Avenue East at Tomken and Kennedy Roads and Hurontario Street,
- on Eglinton Avenue West at McLaughlin and Mavis roads, beyond Creditview Road and at Mississauga Road, Erin Mills Parkway and Glen Erin Drive and
- in Winston Churchill Transitway Station.
Buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:
- every 12 minutes Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.
Passengers aboard buses along the route can connect with GO Transit buses at Winston Churchill, Dixie and Renforth transitway stations.
MiWay is decreasing the frequency of service along the 35 Eglinton MiLocal route to align with the new express service.
Increasing service along routes
107 Malton express
MiWay is increasing the hours of service along the route by starting service earlier and ending service later Saturdays. It’s also introducing new Sunday-and-holiday service along the route.
Starting Saturday, November 1, buses start dropping off or picking up passengers at stops from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. (instead of only from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.)
Starting Sunday, November 2, buses operate along the route for the first time Sundays and holidays. Buses serve passengers at stops from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Buses operate every 20 minutes from about 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
All buses operate between City Centre Transit Terminal and Humber Polytechnic’s North campus Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
MiWay is also increasing the frequency of service along the route.
71 Sheridan
Starting Monday, October 27, MiWay operates buses on two new trips along the route Mondays to Fridays — a new westbound bus during morning rush hours and a new eastbound bus during afternoon rush hours.

2 Hurontario
MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route Monday-to -Friday afternoons.
Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:
- every 10 minutes, instead of every 11 minutes, from about 2 until 6:30 p.m.
MiWay is also adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.
107 Malton express
MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays.
Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:
- every 15 minutes, instead of every 22 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and
- every 12 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes during afternoon rush hours.
Starting Saturday, November 1, buses serve passengers at stops:
- every 20 minutes, instead of every 28 minutes, Saturdays from about 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
MiWay is also increasing the hours of service along the route.
51 Tomken
MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route Monday-to -Friday afternoons.
Starting Monday, October 27, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:
- every 13 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, from about 1:30 until 6 p.m.
Decreasing the frequency of service along a route
35 Eglinton
MiWay is decreasing the frequency of service along the MiLocal route to align service on the Eglinton corridor with the new 135 Eglinton MiExpress route.
