Extra GO, TTC service for Blue Jays fans, October 31

This Friday, October 31, GO Transit and the TTC are adding extra service to help Toronto Blue Jays fans travel to and from the (hopefully final) game of Major League Baseball’s World Series. The Jays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Rogers Centre for the championship.

GO Transit

GO is operating extra trains from Union Station to help you get home from the game.

  • 31 Kitchener line: an extra train starts its trip in Union Station at 12:35 a.m., dropping off passengers in all stations to Kitchener GO Station, ending its trip at 2:27 a.m.
  • 65 Barrie line: an extra train starts in Union at 12:30 a.m., serving passengers in all stations to Allandale Waterfront GO Station, ending at 02:13 a.m.
  • 71 Stouffville Line: an extra train starts in Union at 12:30 a.m., serving passengers in all stations to Old Elm GO Station, ending at 1:42 a.m.

Toronto Transit Commission

To help fans travel quickly and safely, the TTC is adding extra subway trains along Line 1 Yonge - University (six extra trains) and Line 2 Bloor - Danforth (three extra trains).

The transit agency is also assigning extra staff to Union Station and “other key hubs in the downtown core” to help passengers get around game day.

To help fans travel quickly and safely, additional subway service will be running on Line 1 Yonge-University (10 extra trains) and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth (six extra trains), and on downtown streetcar routes where possible. The extra service will be in place for Games 6 and 7 (if necessary). It’s also assigning extra TTC staff at Union Station and other key downtown core hubs to help passengers.

It has postponed a previously planned subway closure Friday and over the weekend to a later date.

The TTC says it “will also monitor Series-deciding games and may need to adjust downtown bus and streetcar routes in the core to ensure service continuity. This could include diversions or short turns to avoid crowded streets. Any changes will be shared in real time via ttc.ca and @ttcnotices on X.”

Similarly, if there are any post-World Series events, the TTC will notify [passengers] of any service impacts.
