Track repairs at Gerrard East / Logan and the resulting TTC detours continue until November 3 (4 a.m.).

TTC crews set up the work zone and start working after streetcar service ends by 11 p.m. Friday. The TTC says, “Around-the-clock work is required to preserve the integrity and quality of new rail and concrete.” They’ll remove the work zone by 4 a.m. Monday.

Crews work in the track area to:

  • mill the old concrete;
  • saw-cut the old concrete:
  • break and remove the old concrete;
  • replace the old rail with new rail; and
  • place new concrete.

While crews are working in the centre lanes traffic continues to flow in both directions in the curb lanes. The City is temporarily prohibiting parking near the work zone. And, the work zone may restrict left turns onto or off of Gerrard Street East.
