Metrolinx continues upgrading the 65 Barrie line as part of the GO Expansion Program.

This Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, GO Transit is cancelling train service along the 65 Barrie line south of Rutherford GO Station to accommodate the Metrolinx construction. GO buses operate express — without stopping — between Rutherford and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.

Trains operate as usually between Allandale Waterfront and Rutherford GO stations this weekend. GO trains don’t operate to and from Downsview Park GO Station this weekend due to the construction.

Board TTC Line 1 Yonge - University trains to travel between Highway 407 and downtown Toronto.

GO is also replacing trains with buses along part of the 31 Kitchener line Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30.

GO buses also replace UP Express trains this weekend.

Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Barrie line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
