Winter Lights Festival

The City of Brampton is closing

  • Main Street South between Queen and Wellington streets

Saturday and

  • Wellington Street West between George and Main streets south

Saturday late morning, afternoon and evening and Sunday morning

to accommodate the event.

Brampton Transit and GO Transit are detouring buses while the streets are closed.

The City of Toronto is again hosting is annual holiday celebration on Nathan Phillips Square at City Hall this year.

Before, during and after the opening ceremonies, from 3 until 11 p.m. Saturday, November 29, the TTC is detouring buses away from the venue.

From 4 until 11 p.m. Saturday, November 25, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Bay Street and Dundas Street West, then detour:

The Distillery District is again hosting a seasonal market this year.

The TTC is providing extra service for passengers travelling to and from The Distillery during the event.

Friday evenings from 4 p.m. until midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. until midnight, the TTC is operating extra buses along the routes. Extra service continues until Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Flamborough Santa Claus Parade

The City of Hamilton is closing

  • Parkside Drive between Braeheid Avenue and Mill Street North Waterdown,
  • Centre Road between Concession 5 East and Parkside Drive,
  • Hamilton Street North between Parkside Drive and Dundas Street West Waterdown,
  • Dundas Street West Waterdown between Hamilton Street and Main Street North Waterdown and
  • Main Street North Waterdown between Dundas Street West Waterdown and Parkside Drive

Saturday evening to acommodate the annual parade.

The Hamilton Street Railway is revising service, while the streets are closed.

After 5 p.m. Saturday, November 29, southbound buses start their trips on Parkside Drive west of Avonsyde Boulevard, then proceed:

southward along Avonsyde;
westward along Dundas Street East [City Highway 5];

southward along Waterdown Road;
eastward along Alayne Bryk Way’
southward along the bus-only roadway to Aldershot GO Station; and then

After dropping off passengers, southbound buses proceed:
