Brampton Transit revises routes and services, January 5



After more than two years of construction on Goreway Drive on Goreway Drive, Brampton Transit is restoring regular service along the 5 Bovaird route. Buses again follow their original path along Goreway, instead of detouring around the construction.

BT is also making other minor changes to its services, starting Monday, January 5.


Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: 5 Bovaird; 7 Kennedy; 9 Vodden; 15 Bramalea; 18 Dixie; 30 Kennedy; 32 Father Tobin; 35 Clarkway; 50 Gore Road; 55 Elbern Markell; 57 Charolais; 199 UTM express; 200 Turner Fenton iRide high-school special; 201; 202; 203; 204 Mayfield iRide high-school specials; 205 St. Thomas Aquinas iRide high-school special; 206 St. Augustine iRide high-school special; 207; 208 Mayfield iRide high-school specials; 209 St. Augustine iRide high-school special; 211 Chinguacousy iRide high-school special; 212 St. Roch iRide high-school special; 213 St. Edmund Campion iRide high-school special; 214 Cardinal Ambrozic iRide high-school special; 215 St. Thomas Aquinas iRide high-school special; 216 David Suzuki iRide high-school special; 217 St. Thomas Aquinas iRide high-school special; 501 Züm Queen; 561 Züm Queen West; 511 Züm Steeles.

Increasing service along routes


5 Bovaird

With the end of construction on Goreway Drive, BT is restoring the original path for buses along the route.

Southbound buses again drop off or pick up passengers at their former stops

  • on Goreway Drive across from Kenview Boulevard, at Brandon Gate Drive and beside #s 7560 and 7500 Goreway.

  • on Goreway Drive beside #s 7475 and 7555 Goreway and at Brandon Gate Drive and Kenview Boulevard.

BT is also adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

Southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at their long-term detour stop

  • on Kenview Boulevard beyond Goreway Drive.

Brampton Transit buses along the 11 Steeles route continue to serve passengers at this stop.

Increasing the frequency of service along routes

501 Züm Queen

Holiday service ends and regular service resumes.

Starting Monday, January 5, BT increases the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Buses drop off or pick up passengers at Züm stations:

  • every 5 minutes, instead of every 7½ minutes.

BT is also adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

511C Züm Steeles

Holiday service ends and regular service resumes.

Starting Monday, January 5, BT increases the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Buses drop off or pick up passengers at Züm stations:

  • every 7½minutes, instead of every 22 minutes.

BT is also adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

Revising the path for buses along a route


5 Bovaird

With the end of construction on Goreway Drive, BT is restoring the original path for buses along the route.

Southbound buses operate along their usual path to Goreway Drive and Kenview Boulevard, then proceed:

southward along Goreway to Morning Star Drive,
resuming their regular path eastward along Morning Star.

Southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at their long-term detour stop

  • on Kenview Boulevard beyond Goreway Drive.

Brampton Transit buses along the 11 Steeles route continue to serve passengers at this stop.

Instead, southbound buses again serve passengers at their former stops

  • on Goreway Drive across from Kenview Boulevard, at Brandon Gate Drive and beside #s 7560 and 7500 Goreway.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound path.

Northbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at their their long-term detour stop

  • on Kenview Boulevard at Goreway Drive.

Brampton Transit buses along the 11 Steeles route continue to serve passengers at this stop.

Instead, northbound buses again serve passengers at their former stops

  • on Goreway Drive beside #s 7475 and 7555 Goreway and at Brandon Gate Drive and Kenview Boulevard.

Buses have been detouring around the construction zone since September 25, 2023.

Starting that day, the cities of Brampton and Mississauga closed:

  • Goreway Drive between Kenview Boulevard in Brampton and Brandon Gate Drive in Mississauga

to accommodate a joint project with the Canadian National Railway to build an overpass to carry traffic on Goreway across CN’s Halton subdivision tracks.
