MiWay revises routes and services, January 5



Starting Monday, January 5, MiWay is revising the path for buses along the 35 Eglinton route to provide service in both directions along Eglinton Avenue West between Ninth and Tenth lines.

The Mississauga transit agency is also increasing the frequency of service along the 109 Meadowvale express route every day and along the 26 Birmhamthorpe and 61 Mavis routes Mondays to Fridays.

It’s also revising service along several other routes.


MiWay is revising service along these routes: 18 Derry; 35 Eglinton; 42 Derry; 48 Erin Mills; 61 Mavis; 66 McLaughlin; 71 Sheridan;101 Dundas express; 109 Meadowvale express; 110 University express; 126 Burnhamthorpe express; 135 Eglinton express; 302 Philip Pocock high-school special; 304 Father Goetz high-school special; 306 Streetsville high-school special; 307 Philip Pocock high-school special; 312 Glenforest high-school special; 313 Streetsville high-school special; 314 Rick Hansen high-school special; 315 Rick Hansen high-school special; 321 Stephen Lewis high-school special.

126 Burnhamthorpe express

Holiday service ends and regular service resumes.

Since more passengers again travel to and from the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus after the holidays, MiWay is resuming regular Monday-to-Friday rush-hour service along the route, starting Monday, January 5.

Since more passengers again travel to and from the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus after the holidays, MiWay is resuming service along the 101A branch of the route to and from the campus, starting Monday, January 5.

To improve passenger access to Ridgeway Plaza, MiWay is revising the path to provide eastbound service along Eglinton Avenue West between Ninth Line and Tenth Line.

Starting Monday, January 5, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue East across from Churchill Meadows Boulevard and at Ridgeway Drive.

Decreasing service along a route


35 Eglinton

To improve passenger access to Ridgeway Plaza, MiWay is revising the path to provide eastbound service along Eglinton Avenue West between Ninth Line and Tenth Line.

Starting Monday, January 5, eastbound no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Erin Centre Boulevard across from Longford, Janice and Eaglesford drives and at Tenth Line and
  • on Tenth Line at Perennial Drive.

MiWay buses along the 9 Rathburn route continue to serve passengers at the stops on Erin Centre across from Longford and Janice.

MiWay no longer offers any service to the stop on Erin Centre at Eaglesford and Tenth and on Tenth at Perennial.

26 Burnhamthorpe

MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route Monday-to-Friday midday.

Starting Monday, January 5, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • every 15 minutes, instead of every 16 minutes, from about 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Holiday service ends and regular service resumes.

Since more passengers again travel to and from Sheridan College’s Davis campus after the holidays, MiWay is increasing the frequency of Monday-to-Friday service along the route, starting Monday, January 5.

It’s also adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route Monday-to-Friday midday.

Starting Monday, January 5, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • every 14 minutes, instead of every 16 minutes, from about 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

MiWay is also increasing service along the route.

109 Meadowvale express

MiWay is increasing the frequency of service along the route everyday, it says, “due to increased passenger demand.”

Starting Monday, January 5, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

  • every 15 minutes or better, instead of every 20 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.; and
  • every 20 minutes or better, instead of every 25 minutes, from about 6 until 10 p.m.

Starting Saturday, January 10, buses serve passengers at stops:

  • every 20 minutes, instead of every 32 minutes, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from about 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Revising the path for buses along a route


35 Eglinton

To improve passenger access to Ridgeway Plaza, MiWay is revising the path to provide eastbound service along Eglinton Avenue West between Ninth Line and Tenth Line.

Starting Monday, January 5, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Ninth Line and Erin Centre Boulevard, then proceed:

southward along Ninth Line; and then
eastward along Eglinton Avenue West to Tenth Line,
resuming their regular path eastward along Eglinton West.

Eastbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Erin Centre Boulevard across from Longford, Janice and Eaglesford drives and at Tenth Line and
  • on Tenth Line at Perennial Drive.

MiWay buses along the 9 Rathburn route continue to serve passengers at the stops on Erin Centre across from Longford and Janice.

MiWay no longer offers any service to the stop on Erin Centre at Eaglesford and Tenth and on Tenth at Perennial.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue East across from Churchill Meadows Boulevard and at Ridgeway Drive.
