This phase of construction at Conlins East / Grandview North and the resulting DRT detours continue until further notice.

Since August 2025, the contractors have been working on a project to:

  • rebuild and widen Conlin Road East between Kurelo Drive and east of Harmony Road North; and
  • build a roundabout at the intersection of Conlin East with Grandview Street North.

The project also includes installing:

  • a new storm sewer under Conlin Road East;
  • a new multi-use pathway on the south side of Conlin between Kurelo Drive and Coppermine Street;
  • a new sidewalk on the north side of Conlin between west of Kurelo Drive and Harmony Road North.

During the construction period, the Region of Durham is also working on:

  • a new water-main near Harmony Road North, Coppermine Street and Cayenne Stree; and
  • a new sanitary sewer at Coppermine Street.

The project takes place over two years but the City plans to complete the work in November 2026. It plans to complete construction of the Grandview roundabout in December 2025 and complete construction on Conlin Road East in 2026.
