Starting 4 a.m. Monday, May 4, the TTC is temporarily closing the Spadina Station bus terminal to install construction hoarding for the Spadina Station Streetcar Platform Extension project.
This project is part of the Line 2 Capacity Enhancement Program, which will allow Spadina Station to accommodate two streetcars at a time. The extension will help alleviate overcrowding and meet future ridership demands on the 510/310 streetcar route.
The transit agency is detouring buses along these routes, while the bus terminal is closed:
- 306B / 506B Carlton shuttle buses
- 127 Davenport.
This phase of construction ate Spadina Station and the resulting TTC detour continue until May 7 (4 a.m.)
Crews mostly work from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., but may work overnight if necessary. Expect to hear noise, feel vibration and see dust resulting from construction. .
The work zone may restrict access to the laneway behind 320/326 Bloor Street West.
Crews maintain passenger access to Spadina Station.
306b / 506B Carlton shuttle buses
After 11 p,m. each evening, buses replace streetcars along the 306 Carlton overnight and 506 Carlton routes between McCaul and Parliament streets during streetcar infrastructure work on College Street at Bay Street.
From 11 p.m. Monday, May 4 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 and continuing overnight nightly until 4 a.m. Thursday, May 7, eastbound buses start their trips in Bathurst Station terminal, then proceed:
southward along Bathurst; and then
eastward along College Street to Spadina Avenue,
resuming their regular path eastward along College.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

- on Spadina Avenue at Sussex Avenue and Harbord and Willcocks streets.
Instead, eastbound buses likely drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- in Bathurst Station terminal,

- on College Street across from Borden Street and at Augusta and Spadina avenues.

From 4 a.m. Monday, May 4 until 4 a.m. Thursday, May 7, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Spadina Road at Spadina Station bus terminal, then proceed:
southward along Spadina;
eastward along Bloor Street West;
northward along St. George Street;
eastward* along Prince Arthur Avenue; and then
