The TTC is closing Line 4 Sheppard between Don Mills and Sheppard - Yonge stations earlier than usually Monday, July 27 until Friday, July 31. No Line 4 trains operate after 11:59 p.m. those evenings.
Shuttle buses partially replace subway service between the two stations. The buses operate mostly along Sheppard Avenue East, stopping on the street near subway stations or in subway-station bus terminals.
Although shuttle buses are accessible, Wheel-Trans service is also available. Ask TTC staff in each station on the closed section of Line 4 for directions to Wheel-Trans stops.
Don Mills, Leslie and Sheppard - Yonge stations remain open, so you can pay fares, load PRESTO fare cards, buy PRESTO tickets and connect to TTC buses, streetcars and Line 1 Yonge - University subway trains or GO Transit and York Region Transit buses. However, Bessarion and Bayview stations are closed. The transit agency is also closing the “automated entrance” at Leslie Station after 11:59 p.m.
While Line 4 is closed, TTC crews are maintaining the tracks. According to a TTC news release, “While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.”
