Interurban Routes
Fares are based on 3 cents per mile.
Hollinger Bus Lines Fares as of October 1952
On local routes within the Township of East York and the City of Toronto the fares are as follows:
Adults - Cash 10 cents, 4 tickets for 25 cents
Children Under 53.5 inches - Cash 3 cents, 10 tickets for 25 cents
Scholars - 7 tickets for 25 Cents
Free transfers between all local routes.
Wexford and Eglinton routes north of Amsterdam have an outer fare zone. The rates here are the same as those for the East York services.
On the Mount Albert and Lansing Road interurban routes, the Adult fare are approximately 2.7 cents per mile one way, with the return being double the single fare, less 10%. Children 5 to 12 years of age ride for half fare, and children less than 5 years of age ride for free.
12 ride tickets good for 10 days are sold for approximately 1.6 cents a mile for adults. Students 12 ride tickets are also available.
The ddult fare from Toronto to Wexford or York Mills Road is 30 cents and Lansing Road 35 cents one way. 12 ride tickets are 20 cents and 21 cents compared to 20.83 cents on the Wexford bus and TTC streetcars to Downtown Toronto.
