As part of the Scarborough Southwest study in the 2024 Annual Service Plan, service begins on the new 117 BIRCHMOUNT SOUTH, replacing parts of the 69B WARDEN SOUTH.

From Warden Station, buses operate southbound via east on St. Clair Avenue East, south on Birchmount Road, west on Kingston Road, stopping at Bingham Loop before continuing north on Victoria Park Avenue and east on Denton Avenue arriving at Victoria Park Station. Northbound buses operate from Victoria Park Station, heading south on Victoria Park Avenue, turning east on Kingston Road, north on Birchmount Road and west on St. Clair Avenue East arriving at Warden Station.

Service operates every 20-25 minutes 7 days a week, 18 hours a day whenever the subway is open. Route operates out of Birchmount garage and interlines with the 69 WARDEN SOUTH at all periods.
