As part of an initiative to reduce the complexity of branch designations on the 96 WILSON, service begins on a new route replacing the 96C and 96H “Thistle Down” branches, operating seven days a week at intervals of 30 minutes or better, whenever the subway is open. Buses operate west out of Wilson station, reducing service that used to operate between Wilson station and York Mills station.

Before 3 p.m., buses operate out of Wilson station (upper level) via west on Wilson Avenue, northwest on Walsh Avenue, and northwest on Albion Road to Thistle Down Boulevard. These buses then operate via east on Thistle Down Boulevard, continuing clockwise around Thistle Down Boulevard, returning west on Thistle Down Boulevard back to Albion Road, continuing southeast on Albion Road, east on Arcot Boulevard, clockwise around Tandridge Crescent, returning west on Arcot Boulevard back to Albion Road, continuing southeast on Albion Road, southeast on Walsh Avenue, and east on Wilson Avenue, returning to Wilson station (upper level).

After 3 p.m., buses operate from Wilson station (upper level), via west on Wilson Avenue, northwest on Walsh Avenue, northwest on Albion Road, east on Arcot Boulevard, clockwise around Tandridge Crescent, returning west on Arcot Boulevard back to Albion Road, continuing northwest on Albion Road, east on Thistle Down Boulevard, continuing clockwise around Thistle Down Boulevard, and returning west on Thistle Down Boulevard back to Albion Road before returning to Wilson station via southeast on Albion Road, southeast on Walsh Avenue, and east on Wilson Avenue.

This route operates out of Arrow Road Garage.

January 9, 2017

A minor adjustment is made so that the 2:35 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. westbound departures from Wilson operate via through Tandridge Crescent.

March 28, 2021

Operations transferred from Arrow Road Garage to Wilson Garage.
