As part of an initiative to reduce the complexity of the 96 WILSON branch structure, service begins on a rush hour route replacing the 96G (York Mills station to Sheppard and Torbarrie) branch. Service operates out of Wilson station, reducing frequencies slightly on the section between York Mills station and Wilson station.

During the morning rush hour, buses operate westbound from Wilson station (upper level) via west on Wilson, north and east on Clayson Road, north on Bartor Road and south on Arrow Road to Sheppard Avenue, returning via east on Sheppard Avenue, north on Oakdale Road, south on Torbarrie Road, south on Jethro Road and east on Wilson Avenue to Wilson station. Afternoon rush hour buses reverse this arrangement. This route operates out of Arrow Road Garage.

March 29, 2021

Service transferred from Arrow Road Garage to Wilson Garage. The system-wide route assignment changes have resulted from the opening of McNicoll Garage.

May 10, 2021

New midday service is established on this route in order to increase service and reduce crowding on the routes operating between Wilson station and Highway 400. Service is blended with 118 THISTLE DOWN, with two buses providing 30-minute frequencies.

In conjunction with the opening of LINE 6 FINCH WEST LRT, service on the 119 has been altered to connect to the new LRT line. A new branch structure is with two east-west services operate between Wilson Station and the area of Sheppard Avenue West and Arrow Road, via Torbarrie and Clayson roads: 119A as existing service extended north to TTC Arrow Road Garage (last stop at 700 Arrow Road); and 119B a new service via Fenmar Drive to replace a portion of service formerly provided by 36D/F FINCH WEST. Service on the 119A operates during midday periods and 119B operates during rush hours only.

Two branches operate as follows:

• 119A buses operate before 12 p.m. midday to Arrow Road Garage runs westbound from Wilson Station (upper level) via west on Wilson Avenue, north and east on Clayson Road, north on Bartor Road, and north on Arrow Road, to Arrow Road Garage - last stop for customers at 700 Arrow Road. Eastbound buses operate from Arrow Road Garage via south on Arrow Road, east on Sheppard Avenue West, north on Oakdale Road, south on Torbarrie Road, south on Jethro Road, and east on Wilson Avenue, to Wilson Station (upper level). After 12 p.m., westbound buses operate from Wilson Station (upper level) via west on Wilson Avenue, north on Jethro Road, north on Torbarrie Road, south on Oakdale Road, west on Sheppard Avenue West, and north on Arrow Road, to Arrow Road Garage. Similarly, eastbound buses run from Arrow Road Garage via south on Arrow Road, south on Bartor Road, west and south on Clayson Road, and east on Wilson Avenue, to Wilson Station (upper level).
• 119B peak-period only buses operate in the morning period, westbound buses to Fenmar Drive and Milivan Drive run from Wilson Station (upper level) via west on Wilson Avenue, north and east on Clayson Road, north on Bartor Road, north on Arrow Road, west on Finch Avenue West, north on Weston Road, northwest on Fenmar Drive, southwest on Ormont Drive, northwest on Toryork Drive, south and east on Milvan Drive, to Penn Drive while eastbound buses operate from Milvan Drive and Penn Drive via south on Milvan Drive, east on Finch Avenue West, south on Arrow Road, east on Sheppard Avenue West, north on Oakdale Road, south on Torbarrie Road, south on Jethro Road, and east on Wilson Avenue, to Wilson Station (upper level). In the afternoon, westbound buses operate from Wilson Station (upper level) via west on Wilson Avenue, north on Jethro Road, north on Torbarrie Road, south on Oakdale road, west on Sheppard Avenue West, north on Arrow Road, west on Finch Avenue West, north on Weston Road, northwest on Fenmar Drive, southwest on Ormont Drive, northwest on Toryork Drive, south and east on Milvan Drive, before finishing the trips to Penn Drive; where as eastbound buses operate from Milvan Drive and Penn Drive via south on Milvan Drive, east on Finch Avenue West, south on Arrow Road, south on Bartor Road, west and south on Clayson Road and east on Wilson Avenue, to Wilson Station.

Buses on this route now operates from Arrow Road Garage, instead of Wilson Garage.
