March 12th, 1984
A new route providing service on Drewry Avenue west of Yonge Street. Buses run from Finch station via north on Yonge and west on Drewry to Bathurst Street, looping counterclockwise via west on Don Lake Gate, north and west on Antibes Drive, southwest on Torresdale Avenue, east and north on Antibes, and east on Don Lake to Bathurst. Initial service is 12-13 minutes in rush hours, 20 minutes midday.

Services are reduced system-wide due to lower government subsidies. This included the elimination of all weekend service on the 125 DREWRY route.
October 6th, 1996
Daytime weekend service is restored at the direction of the Transit Commission.
November 23, 2008
As part of the TTC’s Ridership Growth Strategy, service on 125 DREWRY is expanded so that the bus runs at all times the subway is open, seven days a week.
