As part of an initiative to reduce pressure on the Yonge subway, the TTC establishes two “premium express” services on a trial basis. Route 136 PREMIUM EXPRESS VIA WYNFORD connects the Wynford Heights Crescent area with the downtown core during peak periods. Southbound trips begin at Wynford Heights Crescent, looping counterclockwise, then run south on Wynford Drive, picking up at all regular stops to Wynford Drive and Eglinton and then operating express via south on the Don Valley Parkway and west on Richmond into the downtown, stopping at Church, Yonge, Bay and York. Buses return via south on Simcoe and east on Adelaide, stopping at University, Bay, Yonge and Church, operating express via east on Adelaide and north on the Don Valley Parkway to Eglinton and Wynford, dropping passengers off at all stops northbound on Wynford Drive and looping around Wynford Heights Crescent.

Initially there are six southbound trips in the morning and six northbound trips in the afternoon, with a limited number of trips in the off peak direction. A premium fare applies this express route.
