Service begins on a new route combining the old 144 PREMIUM EXPRESS VIA UNDERHILL and 136 PREMIUM EXPRESS VIA WYNFORD routes. Morning southbound trips depart from York Mills and Wynford as two separate branches, just as they did on the old 136 and 144 routes. In the afternoon, however, trips depart from the downtown and run via Wynford to the north end of Concorde Place cul-de-sac, then back south along Concorde Place, west on Concorde Gate, north on the Don Valley Parkway, east on Lawrence and north on Underhill over the old 144 route to York Mills. This route is operated from Wilson garage, and a premium fare continues to be charged.

October 16, 2000

The afternoon northbound routing is simplified through the Wynford Heights area with buses no longer serving Wynford Heights Crescent or the cul-de-sac at the north end of Concorde Place. Buses operate through the area via east on St. Dennis, north on Wynford, north on Concorde Place, west on Concorde Gate and north on the Don Valley Parkway.

March 31, 2002

Operation of this route is transferred from Wilson garage to the new Eglinton garage on Comstock Road.

September 3, 2002

Operation of this route is switched to Birchmount garage.

November 24, 2008

Operation of this route is switched back to Eglinton garage.

February 15, 2009

Accessible service is introduced, using low floor Orion VII buses on all runs.
