In preparation for the opening of 5 EGLINTON LRT, service begins on the new 164 CASTLEFIELD route, serving the Castlefield industrial area and housing developments on Roselawn Avenue. As the Eglinton LRT is not in operation, the service’s connections at the Eglinton LRT’s stations tend to happen on street. At Mount Dennis station, buses use the terminal for turnbacks and layovers, with service stops at temporary stops on Keelesdale Road and Eglinton Avenue West.
From Mount Dennis Station, 164 CASTLEFIELD buses operate south on Photography Drive, east then north on Keelesdale Road, east on Eglinton Avenue West, north on Trethewey Drive, east to the Keelesdale Station bus terminal, then continuing north and east on Yore Road, north on Keele Street, east on Ingram Drive, south on Kincort Street, east on Castlefield Avenue, east on Roselawn Avenue, south on Danesbury Avenue, east on Castlefield Avenue, south on Marlee Avenue and east on Eglinton Avenue West into Eglinton West Station’s bus terminal (picking up passengers at Bay 8).
Returning, buses operate via west on Eglinton Avenue West, north on Marlee Avenue, west on Roselawn Avenue, west on Castlefield Avenue, north on Kincort Street, west on Ingram Drive, south on Keele Street, southwest on Yore Road, south on Trethewey Drive, west on Eglinton Avenue West, south and west on Keelesdale Road, and north on Photography Drive to Mount Dennis Station bus terminal.
Buses operate at intervals of 30 minutes or better seven days a week whenever the subway is open. Service is operated out of Mount Dennis Garage with the 12 meter New Flyer X-DE-40 and Orion 7 low floor hybrid buses.

With the opening of Mount Dennis Station to GO and UP Express passengers, TTC buses are now allowed to drop off and pick up passengers at the station’s bus terminal. Destination signs are altered accordingly.
