171 Mount Dennis

As part of the opening of the new Mount Dennis bus garage, the TTC established this circular route through the Mount Dennis neighbourhood southeast of the Jane/Trethewey intersection, so that TTC personnel could access Mount Dennis garage using the TTC’s own transit services.

Buses operate outbound from Mount Dennis garage via Industry Street, north on Todd Bayliss Boulevard, southeast on Trethewey, south on Black Creek Drive, west on Eglinton Avenue West, northwest on Weston Road, north on Jane and southeast on Trethewey to Todd Bayliss Boulevard, before following Todd Bayliss and Industry back to Mount Dennis Garage. Buses operate from 4 a.m to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

In preparation for the opening of LINE 5 EGLINTON, buses on the 171 MOUNT DENNIS are adjusted to operate between Jane Street and Alliance Avenue and Industry Street to serve the new Mount Dennis Station, which remains closed to the public until the opening, replacing service previously provided by 161 ROGERS ROAD to Jane Street and Alliance Avenue.

This service is designated as 171A, which also introduces late evening and weekend service to match the span of service previously provided by the 161. Westbound operate outbound from Mount Dennis garage via Industry Street, north on Todd Bayliss Boulevard, southeast on Trethewey, south on Black Creek Drive, west on Humber Boulevard North, west on Alliance Avenue to Jane Street. Eastbound buses operate from Jane Street and Alliance Avenue via north on Jane Street, east on Lambton Avenue, south on Rockcliffe Boulevard, east on Alliance Avenue, north on Cliff Street, east on Cordella Avenue, south on Louvain Street, east on Humber Boulevard, north on Black Creek Drive, Eglinton Avenue West, northwest on Weston Road, north Ray Avenue and west on Industry back to Mount Dennis Garage.

Customers can board and exit buses at stops outside Mount Dennis Station on Eglinton Avenue West at Black Creek Drive and/or Mount Dennis Station.

Early morning trips to Mount Dennis Station is designated as 171B.
