175 Bluffer's Park (2018-2022)

Trial service begins on a weekend and holidays route connecting Kennedy Station and Bluffer’s Park, as approved by the TTC Board at its meeting on January 18, 2018. Buses operate from Kennedy station via east on Eglinton, south on Brimley, south and east on Bluffer’s Park Road to loop at Bluffer’s Park Beach. Buses return via west and north on Bluffers Park Road, north on Brimley Road and west on Eglinton to Kennedy station. Three vehicles provide service on 15 minute headways with the first bus departing Kennedy station at 8:00 a.m. and the last bus departing Bluffers Park at 10:00 p.m. Service operates out of Birchmount Garage with the Nova LFS and Orion VII low floor buses.

This was initially set to start on Sunday, May 13, with the start of the board period, but its opening was advanced by a week to this morning. A ceremony was held to commemorate the opening, with Toronto’s mayor John Tory in attendance along with TTC Chair Josh Colle and local Councillor Gary Crawford.

Weekend and holiday seasonal service resumes on this route, with the same schedule as the previous year, ending on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

May 17, 2020

Seasonal service was set to resume on this route on this day, but low ridership and the need for reallocated resources due to the COVID-19 pandemic led the TTC to cancel this route. Service resumes on Sunday, June 21 instead, and continues to operate on weekends and holidays up to Canadian Thanksgiving.

May 9, 2021

Weekend and holiday seasonal service resumes on this route, with the same schedule as June 2020, ending on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

May 8, 2022

As with the past schedules, weekend and holiday seasonal service resumes on this route, ending on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Buses on the route transferred from Birchmount Garage to Eglinton (Comstock) Garage.

Note

Although the TTC’s service summary states that the destination signs of 175 BLUFFERS PARK will have different exposures for eastbound and westbound trips, most buses display a single exposure, as follows:

Last day of service. As part of the TTC’s rebranding of seasonal services, this route was renumbered to 201 BLUFFER’S PARK the following year.
