176 Mimico GO (2018-2024)

To improve transit service in the Humber Bay Shores area and provide a link to Lakeshore GO trains at Mimico GO Station, trial service begins on a new rush-hour route through the area. Buses on the 176 MIMICO GO route start from Newcastle Street at the corner of Windsor Street and operate via east on Newcastle, north on Audley, east on Portland, north on Grand, east on Manitoba, north on Legion, east on the Gardiner Expressway exit ramp, south on Park Lawn and Marine Parade Drive to Park Lawn Loop. Buses return via north on Marine Parade Drive, west and south on Lake Shore Boulevard, west on Mimico, north on Royal York, and east on Newcastle to Windsor Street.

Buses operate every thirty minutes from 5:23 a.m. to 8:58 a.m. weekday mornings and from 3:03 p.m. to 7:34 p.m. weekday afternoons. Service operates out of Queensway Garage.

August 6, 2019

Service is extended into the Humber Bay Shores area to improve connections with residents. Buses operate over the old route from Park Lawn Loop via north on Marine Parade Drive, east on Lake Shore Boulevard and south, west, and north on Marine Parade Drive before rejoining the original route heading west on Lake Shore Boulevard. Also, all afternoon peak period trips are shifted later by around five minutes to improve connections with Lakeshore West GO trains.

March 23, 2020

All service on this route is suspended due to COVID-19 concerns affecting the TTC. Buses on this route are reallocated to other routes for the time being.

September 6, 2022

Service on the 176 MIMICO GO resumes on this day with service adjusted to meet with the new GO train arrival and departure times.

August 30, 2024

Last day of operation. Service on this route is replaced by an extended 80B QUEENSWAY running from Sherway Gardens to Mimico GO Station the following Tuesday, September 3.
