Service begins on a new limited stop service connecting Sheppard station on the YONGE SUBWAY to Scarborough Centre station on the SCARBOROUGH RT as a predecessor of the then proposed SHEPPARD SUBWAY. Buses operate from Scarborough Centre via north on Brimley and west on Sheppard, stopping at Brimley and Sheppard, Midland, Kennedy, Birchmount, Warden, Victoria Park, Consumers Road, Parkway Forest, Don Mills, Leslie and Bayview before looping through Sheppard station before returning via the reverse route. Westbound buses also stop at Yonge and Sheppard for passenger drop off.

Route discontinued, replaced by the 85G SHEPPARD EAST local branch. Limited stop service along Sheppard to Scarborough Centre would not be tried again until November 24, 2002 with the opening of the SHEPPARD SUBWAY and the launch of the 190 SCARBOROUGH CENTRE ROCKET route.
