As part of the TTC’s initiative of rebranding the entire seasonal route network, service begins on the new 202 CHERRY BEACH, a renumbered version of the former 172 CHERRY BEACH. Buses operate the loop east on Front, north on Yonge, west on Wellington, south on Bay, east on Queens Quay, north on Parliament, east on Front and south on Cherry towards Cherry Beach. Westbound buses run north via Cherry, west on Mill, south on Parliament, west on Queens Quay and north on Bay, looping via Front, Yonge and Wellington. However, due to construction at the intersection of Cherry Street and Lake Shore Boulevard, buses divert via Lake Shore Boulevard East in both directions from Parliament to Cherry, without serving the Distillery District.

Service operates 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, Sundays and holidays and 9 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays from mid-May to October. Buses operate out of Eglinton (Comstock) Garage with the use of the Nova LFS and BYD K9M low floor buses instead of Birchmount Garage.
