Coincident with the opening of the LINE 5 EGLINTON LRT, service on the new 27 JANE SOUTH bus route operating between Jane Station and Mount Dennis Station, replacing portions of the 35 JANE south of Eglinton Avenue West. The split of the bus services on Jane Street has effectively undid its 1972 merger with the 83 TRETHEWEY bus which operated via Jane.

Northbound buses operate from Jane Station, exiting via south on Armdale Avenue, west on Bloor Street West, to begin its routing on Jane Street, east on Eglinton Avenue West, turning south and north on Photography Drive arriving at Mount Dennis Station. Trips heading southbound run from Mount Dennis Station exiting via south and north on Photography Drive, west on Eglinton Avenue West, south on Jane Street terminating at Jane Station. Buses operate seven days a week, eighteen hours a day during all operating periods whenever the subway network is open.

Service operates out of Mount Dennis Garage using 12-meter, 40-foot Orion VII/New Flyer X-DE-40 diesel-electric hybrid and Nova Bus LFSe+ battery electric low floor vehicles.

Additional service is provided by the 935 JANE EXPRESS while the 335 JANE NIGHT provides owl service during overnight periods.
