Compiled by James Bow

June 22, 2014

Effective on this date, service begins on the 28 BAYVIEW SOUTH route, replacing service on 28 DAVISVILLE. Buses operate from Davisville station via east on Davisville and south on Bayview to loop through the Evergreen Brick Works near Pottery Road, returning via the reverse route. Year round, buses operate Saturdays only from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the summer months, Sunday and holiday service is added, operating from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

As summer turns to fall, however, Sunday and Holiday service is not suspended, and weekend and holiday daytime service continues into the winter.

Buses operate out of Wilson Garage.

Weekends and holidays, daytime hours

June 20, 2016

Weekday service is established, with buses operating every twenty minutes throughout the day and every half hour after seven o’clock in the evening. Buses now operate seven days a week year round, whenever the subway is open.

May 12, 2019

Due to renovations closing one of the bus roadways at Davisville station, buses on the 28 BAYVIEW SOUTH route are interlined with 14 GLENCAIRN and do not stop inside the station, stopping instead at the Davisville/Chaplin/Yonge intersection to pick up passengers. Runs interlined were transferred to Mount Dennis garage.

February 16, 2020

With the completion of renovations to Davisville station’s bus terminal, service on 28 BAYVIEW SOUTH returns to normal, with buses operating into the station to use the east side platform. The interline with 14 GLENCAIRN ends.

March 28, 2021

Service transferred from Wilson Garage to Eglinton (Comstock) Garage.

Sunday, September 5, 2021

The bus terminal at Davisville station is set to partially close for six weeks to accommodate remedial construction work for the driveway project completed in 2019. As a result of this, 14 GLENCAIRN buses are interlined with 28 BAYVIEW SOUTH, making an on-street connection to Davisville station. During this change, 28 BAYVIEW SOUTH buses are temporarily moved to Mount Dennis Garage. Schedules are set the same as the May 2019 board period.
