October 11, 2015

Service begins on a new night route, replacing the 302 DANFORTH ROAD-McCOWAN BLUE NIGHT bus from Steeles Avenue to Eglinton Avenue and providing new night service on Brimley Road and Kingston Road to Victoria Park. Buses operate from Steeles/McCowan loop via south on McCowan, southwest on Danforth Road, west on Eglinton Avenue, south on Brimley, west on Kingston Road, west on Danforth Avenue, south on Birchmount and west on Kingston Road to Bingham loop. Buses return via east on Kingston Road, north on Birchmount, east on Danforth Avenue, east on Kingston Road, north on Brimley, east on Eglinton, northeast on Danforth Road and north on McCowan to Steeles Avenue. Service operates every thirty minutes overnight when the subway is closed, seven days a week. Service operates out of Birchmount Garage.

February 18, 2018

Buses no longer serve Variety Village. The route is revised to operate on Kingston Road in both directions between Birchmount and Danforth Avenue, with service removed on Birchmount and Danforth. No changes to service levels or destination signs.

March 28, 2021

Most of the runs on this route are transferred along with route 102 MARKHAM ROAD from Birchmount Garage to Malvern Garage conciding with the opening of McNicoll Garage. Some of the runs continue to operate from Birchmount Garage.

March 26, 2023

Runs that are interlined with the 21 BRIMLEY are transferred from Malvern Garage to Birchmount Garage.

October 6, 2024

Buses on this route are now jointly operated out of Birchmount and McNicoll Garages.

January 3, 2026

Last day of operation. Service is renumbered to the 316 KINGSTON ROAD-McCOWAN BLUE NIGHT, aligning its number with the 16 McCOWAN daytime counterpart. The renumbering took place a decade after riders would forget the 316 OSSINGTON BLUE NIGHT route.
