Overnight services on Yonge Street are now designated as route 320 YONGE instead of 97B YONGE, bringing the route in line with the newly established network of Blue Night services. Service is provided on Yonge Street between Steeles Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard. At the north end buses turn back in the off-street loop on the south side of Steeles, just east of Yonge. The downtown looping is south on Yonge, west on Lake Shore, north on Bay and east on Front. Early Sunday morning (between 6 and 9 am), short turn buses run from Lake Shore north to York Mills Station only. Buses operate out of Eglinton and Wilson Garages.

Beginning on September 6, 1988 (or early as May 1988)
Additional trips were operated between Lake Shore and York Mills station in the early hours of Tuesday through Sunday until about 3.30 am. Some later trips ran north from Lake Shore to Eglinton until 4 am. This pattern of operation lasted until at least late 1992 but it is not known for how many years after this, that the operation of these short trips continued.

The downtown loop is expanded a block to the south and buses now loop south on Yonge, west on Queens Quay, north on Bay and east on Front. No change in rollsigns.
August 1, 2004
Early morning trips operate in both directions via Eglinton Station, seven days a week, so that customers can easily transfer to and from other routes within the station.
September 5, 2004
To provide additional service to the “Entertainment District” after hours, some trips are extended at the south end of the route, up University Avenue. Service operates every half hour. Buses operate via south on Yonge, west on Front, north on University, to loop around Queen’s Park Circle, returning over the reverse route via University, Front and Yonge to Steeles.

Service on Yonge Boulevard is eliminated on this date, ending the 320A branch. All service is routed north on Yonge Street to Steeles Avenue. Buses on the main branch are scheduled to operate every 3 minutes, 30 seconds from 1:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. and every 3 minutes Sunday mornings from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
January 3, 2016
A temporary route change made due to construction at Union Station is made permanent to provide “more direct and convenient service for more customers.” At the south end, buses will officially loop from Yonge and Wellington via west on Wellington, south on Bay, east on Queen’s Quay and north on Yonge Street. This officially replaces the old loop of south on Yonge, west on Queen’s Quay, north on Bay and east on Front. No change to destination signs.
