Coincident with the opening of the long-awaited LINE 5 EGLINTON LRT line, service begins on the newly renamed 34 EGLINTON bus route paralleling the LRT line on Eglinton Avenue, replacing services on the 32 EGLINTON WEST between Mount Dennis station and Yonge Street and 34 EGLINTON EAST east of Yonge Street to Kennedy Station operating out of the New Eglinton Garage on Comstock Road.

Buses on the 34 EGLINTON operate operate eastbound from Mount Dennis station, exiting south on Photography Drive, east on Eglinton Avenue West before crossing Yonge Street into Eglinton Avenue East, east on South Service Road arriving at Kennedy station. Westbound trips operate from Kennedy station, exiting west on North Service Road west, west on Eglinton Avenue East before crossing Yonge Street into Eglinton Avenue West, entering north on Photography Drive arriving at Mount Dennis station. Buses also serve stops at Cedarvale, Eglinton, and Don Valley Stations. Service west of Mount Dennis station continues to be served by the 32 EGLINTON WEST and service east of Kennedy station is provided by the 86 SCARBOROUGH and the 116 MORNINGSIDE routes.

All service operates 7 days a week and 18 hours a day whenever the subway and LRT lines are open at all times.
