Service begins on the renumbered 396 WILSON NIGHT bus service, operating over the same route as the 319 WILSON BLUE NIGHT service the night before.

Buses operate from York Mills station via west on York Mills, west on Wilson Avenue, northwest on Walsh, northwest on Albion Road, west and north on Elmhurst Drive, west on Hinton, north on Harefield, northwest on Elmhurst, west on Brookmere, west on Westhumber, north on Martin Grove and west on Steeles Avenue to the Steeles/Martin Grove loop on the south side of Steeles Avenue West, just west of Martin Grove. Buses return via east on Steeles, south on Martin Grove, east on Westhumber, east on Brookmere, southeast on Elmhurst, south on Harefield, east on Hinton, south and east on Elmhurst, southeast on Albion, southeast on Walsh, east on Wilson, and east on York Mills Road to York Mills Station.

Service operates every 30 minutes whenever the subway is closed. Buses operate from Arrow Road Garage using the Orion VII and Nova LFS buses.

With the opening of McNicoll Garage, some runs are now operating from Mount Dennis Garage, with Arrow Road continuing to provide runs.

September 5, 2021

Buses on the 396 that operated from Mount Dennis Garage ceased as buses that served the 927 HIGHWAY 27 EXPRESS had moved to Arrow Road Garage.
