With the opening of the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY extension to Islington, service on 45 KIPLING is rerouted to operate south on Kipling and east on Bloor to Islington station. Service south of Bloor Street provided by the new 44 KIPLING SOUTH route.

Buses run from Kipling Loop just north of Lakeshore Boulevard, north on Kipling and east on Bloor to the new Islington station. Buses return via west on Bloor, west on Dundas, north on Jopling and south on Kipling.

November 22, 1980

With the extension of the BLOOR-DANFORTH subway to Kipling, service on 44 KIPLING SOUTH cut back to the new Kipling station. Buses run north on Kipling to St. Albans, then via the cloverleaf immediately south of Dundas, run west on St. Albans to the station. Buses return via east on St. Albans, north and east on West Service Road and south on Kipling.

Service extende south of Lakeshore Boulevard via Kipling to a new off-street loop near the Humber College campus on the former Ontario Hospital site.

Accessible service introduced on this route, using New Flyer low floor buses out of Queensway garage. All buses at all times of the week are scheduled to be accessible.
