Upon closure of Davenport Garage, service on this route is transferred to Eglinton Garage.
February 18, 1996
As part of system-wide service cuts resulting from the elimination of provincial subsidies, late evening weekday, Saturday evening and Sunday service cut back to every 30 minutes. During these times, service is interlined with the 82 ROSEDALE, with buses arriving at Glen Road continuing north as 82 ROSEDALE buses and all southbound ROSEDALE buses arriving at Glen Road from Summerhill continuing south as 75 SHERBOURNE buses.
At some point after this time, the main SHERBOURNE service is renumbered 75, while northbound buses operating to Summerhill are numbered 75A. It is likely that this was an internal designation — although it appears as a separate branch on TTC schedules — and that northbound 75A buses showed the regular 75 SHERBOURNE exposures, changing to 82 ROSEDALE, “TO SUMMERHILL” exposures when they reached South Drive.
In conjunction with the system-wide route assignments after the closure of Lansdowne Garage, this route is switched to operate out of Danforth Garage.
