The newly-formed Toronto Transit Commission takes over operation of a number of bus services operating in the new suburban boroughs of Metropolitan Toronto. Saturday November 25th, 1972
Last day of operation. The end of the two-zone fare system (which occurred January 1, 1973) would eliminate the need for a transfer with Zone 1 buses at Gilbert Loop. Also, the opening of the Jane Street road extension made it possible for the JANE bus to provide through service to Steeles, resulting in the saving of 3 buses in rush hours and Saturdays and 2 buses on Sundays while at the same time decreasing headways and providing better service.
Route name and number is discontinued. Service on Jane Street replaced by 35 JANE buses operating to Jane station, while service on Trethewey provided by a new 32C EGLINTON WEST branch operating from Eglinton Station.
