Service begins on a new rush hour express route supplementing the 37 ISLINGTON. As part of a system-wide re-branding of TTC express bus services, the route is assigned a 900-series number. Buses operate northbound from Islington station via east on Bloor Street West, north on Islington and west on Steeles Avenue West to loop through the Islington/Steeles loop. On the way, buses stop at Eglinton Avenue West, the Westway, Dixon Roadd, Monogram Place and Rexdale Boulevard before operating local between Rexdale Boulevard and Steeles Avenue. Southbound buses operate over the reverse route, operating local to Rexdale Boulevard and then stopping at Westhampton Drive, Dixon Roadd, the Westway and Eglinton Avenue West before terminating at Islington station.

Due to the loss of ridership resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, service on this route is temporarily suspended, with resources diverted to maintaining service on the parallel local routes.
