Service begins on a new express route serving students attending the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. During the morning peak period, buses operate eastbound only from Scarborough Centre Station via east on Triton Road, south on McCowan Road, east on Ellesmere Road, south on Military Trail, west into University of Toronto Scarborough Campus bus terminal. Buses only stop at Scarborough Centre Station, Markham Road, Neilson Road, Morningside Avenue, Military Trail, and the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus bus terminal. Buses return to Scarborough Centre as 38B HIGHLAND CREEK buses.

During the afternoon peak period, buses operate westbound only from the University of Toronto Scarborough campus bus terminal via north on Military Trail, west on Ellesmere Road, north on McCowan Road, west on Triton Road and into Scarborough Centre Station, stopping only at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus bus terminal, Military Trail, Morningside Avenue, Neilson Road, Markham Road and Scarborough Centre station. Buses return to UTSC as 38B HIGHLAND CREEK buses.

Last day of service before the temporary suspension of this route due to labour shortages from the Commission’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. All service on this route operates as the local 38B HIGHLAND CREEK buses beginning the following Monday.

Following the closure of the LINE 3 SCARBOROUGH RT in July after a derailment, buses on the 938 HIGHLAND CREEK EXPRESS are extended from Scarborough Centre Station to Kennedy Station along the priority route southbound on Midland Avenue and northbound on Kennedy Road. Stops on Midland/Ellesmere, Midland/Lawrence (southbound) and Kennedy/Lawrence (northbound) are added. Buses on this route board Bay 14 on Platform B in the new terminal at Kennedy Station.
