As part of the Annual Service Plan 2021, a new express route 943 KENNEDY EXPRESS will be introduced to serve the Kennedy Road corridor complimenting existing service on route 43 KENNEDY.
Buses operate from Kennedy station via west on Eglinton, north on Kennedy and east on Steeles Avenue to Midland, buses return via south on Midland, west on Passmore, south on Kennedy and east on Eglinton to Kennedy Station. Buses stop on Kennedy station, Lawrence, Ellesmere, Progress, Antrim, Village Green Square, Sheppard, Finch, McNicoll, Steeles and Midland.
Service operates out of McNicoll Garage during rush hours only.

Amidst the employee shortages due to the TTC’s COVID-19 vaccination policy, all service on this route is temporarily suspended. Service is provided by the local 43A KENNEDY buses operating on the September 2021 levels.
May 9, 2022
Monday-to-Friday rush hour service is restored on this route.
March 27, 2023
Amid budgetary concerns, service on this route is suspended once more. As it was in November 2021, local service is provided by the 43A KENNEDY buses operating on the same levels from September 2021. Despite no mentioning of this route in the May 2023 service summaries and the TTC’s website, the route remains listed in the OpenData.
