Service begins on the new 99 CLAYSON route. Buses operate from York Mills station via west on Wilson, through Wilson station’s bus terminal, west again on Wilson to Clayson Road. From there, buses operate north on Clayson, east and north on Bantor, north on Arrow Road, and north on Signet Drive to Fenmar Drive. Buses loop via north on Signet, east on Steeles, south on Rossdean, east on Garyray, south on Norelco and west on Fenmar to Signet, returning south on Signet back to York Mills station via the reverse route. The service is operated during rush hours, Mondays through Fridays. Service provided every 11 minutes during the morning rush hour, leaving York Mills station between 6:20 and 9:05 a.m. and from 2:49 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Buses leave Steeles from 6:20 a.m. to 8:43 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The service is a complete replacement of the “Steeles via Clayson” branch of the 96 WILSON bus (designated 96H), as part of an initiative by the TTC to rationalize the number of branches operating on the 96 WILSON trunk route. The TTC would follow this on January 20, 1991 with the creation of 165 WESTON ROAD NORTH out of the A, G and K branches of 96 WILSON.
