April 1, 1929

With the opening of the Bay Street underpass to streetcars, the BAY bus is rerouted and renamed FLEET. Service operate from a wye at Fleet and Bathurst via east on Fleet (now Lake Shore Boulevard) to loop via Bay, Queen’s Quay and York to Fleet and return. Service operates Mondays through Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

November 12, 1929

Due to continuing railway construction around Union station, the route is extended east to operate via Fleet and Yonge to Front. No change in hours of service.

December 26, 1929

Service extended west on Fleet during rush hours from Bathurst Street to Tip Top Tailors (at Stadium Road)

May 1, 1930

Bay underpass opened, allowing BAY streetcars to Docks Loop. FLEET bus shortened to loop at the east end via Bay, Queen’s Quay and York.

June 30, 1932

Last day of operation. With the realignment of the Bathurst Street bridge over the railway tracks, FORT streetcars take over service west of Bathurst Street.
