December 1, 1941

Service begins on a new bus route serving Eglinton Avenue west from Gilbert loop (at the end of the OAKWOOD streetcar) to a wye at Weston Road. Buses operate six days a week during rush hours. Transfers are accepted to and from the WESTON and OAKWOOD streetcars

April 5, 1943

Rush hour service commences at 2 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, instead of 4 p.m. Saturday rush hour service continues to operate around the noon hour.

October 2, 1944

Service now operates daily. Mondays through Saturdays, buses operate from 6:25 a.m. to 9 p.m., while Sunday and holiday service is provided from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

November 26, 1945

Evening service extended to midnight, seven days a week.

April 1, 1949

Effective this date, rush hour service is extended east from Gilbert loop via east on Eglinton and south on Caledonia to connect with ROGERS ROAD streetcars, looping clockwise via Corby Avenue, McRoberts Avenue and Rogers Road.

July 1, 1949

Saturday rush hour extension to Rogers Road discontinued on this date.



7 days a week, 18 hours a day

June 30, 1954

Last day of operation. Service replaced the following day by an extension of the JANE bus.
