Service begins on an express bus route known as the TOWNCENTRE EXPRESS operating between Toronto’s Downtown and the Scarborough Town centre.
From the Scarborough Town Centre’s north parking lot, buses operate via east and south and east on Progress, north on McCowan, west on Highway 401, south on the Don Valley Parkway, west on Richmond, south on Simcoe, east on Adelaide, returning via north on the Don Valley Parkway, east on Highway 401, south on McCowan, west on Trizac Gate, south on Progress and Borough, west on South Service Road and north and east on Progress.
Buses operate express in both directions with the exception of stops (with specially designated markers) in the Town Centre and at intersections enrolee in the Downtown area (westbound on Richmond at Jarvis, Church, Yonge, Bay and York; eastbound on Adelaide at University, Bay, Yonge, Church and Jarvis).
Fares are 75 cents cash or two adult TTC tickets or tokens for both adults and children, with no transfer privileges to other TTC services.

Rush hour service reduced to every 12 minutes, while 30 minute off-peak service continues.
April 19, 1976
Service reduced to every 20 minutes during rush hours only. From the Scarborough Town Centre, buses operate from 6:40 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. From the Downtown, buses operate from 7:20 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Last day of service. Route discontinued due to low ridership.
