With the abandonment of streetcars on Weston Road, and the unavailability of replacement WESTON trolley buses north of St. John’s Loop, service begins on a temporary route along Weston Road north from the end of the temporary trolley bus service. Buses operate from St. John’s loop near today’s intersection of Weston Road and Clouston Avenue, north on Weston Road and Main Street (today known as Weston Road) to the new Oak loop located near Oak Street at the north end of the Town of Weston.

Mayor Thompson of Weston inspects (then) new Canadian Car & Foundry trolley coach 9081 while Fageol Twin Coach (built in Fort Erie in 1948) bus 1319 looks on. It's December 1949 and the trolley coaches are finally ready to replace the diesel buses operating on the temporary WESTON-MAIN route.
