Thursday, December 1, 1966

Service begins on a special bus service called the “WESTWOOD-MALTON” route. This bus initially serves the Westwood and Malton neighbourhoods of northeastern Toronto Township (now Mississauga) for a six month trial period.

One bus, operated by Roncesvalles Division out of Queensway Garage, operates Mondays through Fridays during rush hours, holidays excepted (although service was provided on Tuesday, December 27). Buses operate from the corner of Airport Road and Derry Road at the end of the 58 MALTON route and run via east on Derry Road, north on Indian Line, west on Morning Star Drive, south on Darcel Avenue, west on Etude Drive, south on Lancaster Avenue, west on Churchill Avenue, north on Victory Crescent, west on McNaughton Road and south on Airport Road to Derry Road, to complete the circle.

This bus is scheduled to take a round trip of 20 minutes, allowing it to connect with each trip of the arriving northbound 58 MALTON bus at Airport Road and Derry Road. Fares are 10 cents for adults, 5 cents for children, with no transfer privileges to other TTC services. SPECIAL destination signs are used with “WESTWOOD-MALTON” window cards displayed.

No passengers are carried en route to and from Queensway Garage.
