The FORT car is an ancestor of today's Bathurst streetcar. At times a shuttle to the Canadian National Exhibition, other times a major augmenter of service up the length of Bathurst, FORT cars trundled into history in 1966, replaced by Bathurst cars which came off Adelaide. In this 1953 scene, TTC A8-class all-electric PCC #4544 prepares to leave Exhibition loop for a short run to Wolseley loop, just north of Queen Street. This photo was donated by Curt Frey.
