19550512 - 512 St. Clair - St. Clair Destination Board

When the Yonge subway opened, four different streetcar services used the single track platform at St. Clair station: Earlscourt cars running westbound to Lansdowne, St. Clair cars running eastbound to Keele, Rogers Road rush-hour cars running westbound to Bicknell, and St. Clair cars running eastbound to Eglinton and Mount Pleasant. To alert riders arriving on the platform where the waiting streetcars were heading, the TTC had signs which lit up, telling riders the streetcar's destination.
