TTC air-electric PCCs 4106, 4057 and 4007 sit outside at Lansdowne Carhouse alongside a snow sweeper and a trolley coach on March 11, 1966, just days after the BLOOR-DANFORTH SUBWAY opened. Although the PCC cars look ready to run, they are in storage, thanks to the mass of streetcar abandonments two weeks before. Note the strips of wood affixed to each of the front doors to prevent people from forcing the doors open. Thanks to Robert Lubinski for his corrections. Photo by John F. Bromley, courtesy the John Knight collection.
