TTC S-31 1973

S-31 - TTC Snow Sweeper ()

TTC Snow Sweeper S-31 was bought by the Third Avenue Transit company in New York in 1920, and picked up by the TTC in 1947. It remained active until 1971, before being officially retired and then sent away in 1973. In this shot, courtesy the Russell Munroe Collection, S-31 is being delivered to the Seashore Trolley Museum, being unloaded off a Canadian Pacific flat car at Kennebunk, Maine, on November 13th, 1973. Thanks to Stephen Fontaine for the photograph and the information.
