Yonge Streetcar 19540711

On July 11, 1954, over three months after the opening of the YONGE SUBWAY, evidence of the old YONGE streetcar remained. Here, we see the remains of Scollard Street Wye, looking east. These tracks once served horsecars operating out of Yorkville carhouse. Photo by L. Swanson, courtesy the John Knight collection.
